visual language: depth

today we were given another presentation where we were asked to sketch out some of the images shown to us on the presentation and talk about the depth. some of the images that we were shown were really interesting. 

i particularly liked this artwork from Moebius. i think it is really beautiful and the curves and perspective really add depth to the image. even though there is not too much shading and fanciness going on, i dont think that it needs it. its powerful by itself.
