vis com: hand-drawn test

after drawing up the images for my handrawn gif, i wanted to put it all onto photoshop before colouring it in just to make sure that everything worked properly and it was all in the right place. i'm really happy with how it looks right now and hope that i don't ruin it by trying to colour it in!! i think i will use pencil crayon because i think they give off the most fluid movements when put in a gif and i want it to look flow-y (is that an adjective??) and neat!

here they all are coloured in! i really like how they turned out, i'm hoping the way that i've used the coloured pencils will make it look like its moving a little bit and give my gif more dynamic. i'm glad i chose to do this one hand drawn because i think this one is the one that most needs that dynamic movement. the 'Ayyy' give is quite simple and i think works as a digital gif.

this is how it looks right now! after just adding the frames straight into photoshop. at the moment it looks quite messy, i need to sort out the cropping of it and i need to find out a way to make the colours pop more and possibly get rid of the textured background in hopes of making it look a bit more professional.

i worked out how to make the gif look a bit more professional! i added in a levels adjustment layer and it worked across all of my drawings instead of going through and doing them all individually. at first i thought this would mess up my gif as i made the animation through "frames from layers" but it all turned out okay! after this i went through with the brush tool on white and just cleaned up any little marks that came up on it to make the white background more pure without imperfections.
