vis com: korea postcard

here are some of the shots from my korea postcard development. using illustrator has been really fun and i'm really enjoying using it! i researched some into the colours and to match the hairstyle (a braid, usually worn by younger women) i chose yellow and pink which is also associated with younger women. i really like how it's turning out. i have decided to add some flowers to the yellow part of the dress.

after adding flowers to the yellow i decided to try some of them on the bottom of the dress. however after looking more at hanboks, i've found that they mostly don't have any pattern on the bottom and are mostly patterned at the top.

decided to take away the flowers at the bottom of the dress. i am also considering changing the colour of the top of the dress in a way to try and make the colours less as i am trying to keep my colour palettes simple to match the simplicity of my designs.

changed the colours again and i really like how the darker pink works out. i think it really matches my japanese one more because they are both just using a simple colour scheme. i think the flower patterns also look better on the pink as i wasn't fond of the darker yellow flowers, so now the darker pinks look a lot nicer. i also think the pink adds a tone of innocence and adolescence.
