a-z typology brief: my chosen idea & development sketches

the idea that i have decided to go for with encouragement from peers and classmates is an 'a-z of things that t-rex's wish they could do'. to explain this crazy idea a bit more, i just got thinking about how t-rex's are so cute with their stupid tiny arms and i was all like "i bet they wouldn't be able to do a lot of things with those arms" and BAM, here came this idea!

started to think about the layout of my poster. do i want it busy? different sizes? it would be more fun to look at. would it be too confusing??

 thinking about the fonts for my poster. had a talk with peers and they suggested the 7th font, with the outlined theme going strong between my fonts and my dinosaurs.

 another layout idea. more structured and simplistic. started thinking would this be more appealing to the eye? might try both ideas and see which works better.

 decided that i didn't like the 'A' i had written down for my a-z which was 'Art'. although kind of ironic, i thought it didn't have the same comedic value as most of the rest. that's why i thought the archery with the arrow in the poor lil guy's foot might be quite funny, slapstick kind of comedy.

 thinking about more character design aspects. after talking with classmates, decided without the spikes was better as although the spikes are real cute, t-rex's just don't have spikes so it'd be just like looking at a normal dinosaur and that's not what i want.

more dinosaurs!!! and apparently blogger doesn't like to turn around my image so... upside down t-rex!!
