ep: my character - montgomery

i have been thinking of ideas for a childrens book, trying to create a character which incorporates my style and is funny and relatable. for my inspiration, i actually looked towards my dissertation work. my dissertation was about cats, therefore i created a cat character who was grumpy and it helped me to work on my facial expressions. here he is:

i really love this fat annoyed character and think that he would be such a perfect character for a children's book as they would find his disgusted faces hilarious and relatable. i decided to do more sketches of this character to see if i could conjure up some different designs and explore his character and what he looks like.

I decided to call him Montgomery :-).
